Premium Luxury Offered in the 2020 Edition of Genesis G90

Genesis is a premium luxury brand that now openly competes with the stalwarts of this segment, namely the Mercedes, BMW and Audi. The brand has evolved into this stage in very less time, and anyone who knows a little bit of its history will also guess, why. If you look at any of the latest Genesis models like the 2020 G90, you’ll realize one thing for sure that, in car luxury doesn’t always need to be flowery soft, luxury can also be defined in terms of smartness.

The 2020 Genesis G90 proves this point strongly with its investment done on its feature count and high end service to its customers.

Updates for the Year 2020

The Genesis dealer we visit often informed us that the year 2020 brought some interesting updates for the Genesis G90 series that counts a bunch of new body panels, to be fitted besides the newly refreshed roof and doors, a new polish for the silver shielded grille that behold the pride of the Genesis brand. The mesh grille too looks better with some finer tones, while new pairs of optional 19-inch wheels draw the finishing line in the exterior list.

The updates reach the inside as well, creating a new ambience altogether with loads of newly purchased premium materials to match the newly designed dashboard with dominating horizontal lines. The switches and leather swathes in the center console and even on the seats get chrome plating, while the traditional idea of double stitches and piping on the leather hides make them wear an ethnic look. Genesis has also made good use of open-pore wood accents to accomplish that premium status bar, and that is well accompanied by a newly updated infotainment technology.

Other luxury features that were part of any Genesis model include active noise cancellation technology to keep the cabin free from external noises, while driving mechanisms like adaptive electronic dampers also contribute largely to the luxurious rides. The 2020 Genesis G90 is a big size sedan that prefers to offer equal comfort for four adult passengers, excluding the one who sits behind the wheel. But to give that pilot due respect, Genesis shows its care by installing a 22-way driver seat, while the passengers are pampered and honored with heated and cooled rear seats, where they can stay in touch with the digital world by keeping their devices charged through wireless smartphone charging pads.

More Power More Luxury

The Genesis dealership I mentioned above confirmed that Genesis continues to keep the same engine options even for the 2020 release of the G90 series. It is the same 3.3T model to be seen in the lineup that features a 3.3-liter V-6 turbocharged engine rated at 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. The higher trim 5.0 delivers a motivated performance by playing under hood a 5.0-liter V-8 engine that can keep the sedan running with 420 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. In this the V-8 engine is rated  by the EPA for scoring only 16 mpg in the city but replenishing the number with 24 mpg on the highway when driven with the rear-wheels.
