Class Leading Features of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette

With its new mid-engine design, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette steps up to the class leading position of its segment of sports car, while it has transcended itself to the realm of a supercar. It moves faster than its closest rivals and still maintains a straight line when driven around a track.

The Humble Chevrolet dealer informed us that the 2020 version of Chevrolet Corvette can be ordered both in coupe and convertible body styles, if you are interested to book a Stingray. Otherwise the 2020 Corvette dresses up in three trim levels, namely 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT with an optional Z51 package added to the story.

Designed to Be a Supercar

To evolve the Corvette series from a meager sports car to a supercar, Chevrolet has taken all the right steps right from its attire to the mechanisms that will make it run like one. Ditching the earlier long hood that used to cage in a set-back cabin with a short deck, the new 2020 Corvette sports a relatively shorter hood, while shifting its cabin by 16.5 inches towards the front and stretched its rear deck much longer to make room for the new powerful engine. The headlights set at a lower line, while the removable roof panel comes flexible enough to be stored in the trunk at the rear end.  The body is decked with lines that are inspired from the fighter-jets. The larger air intakes at the front in tune with the massive air ducts suit this new mid-engine design well. To add more spice to the recipe, Chevrolet designs every bolt, tube, fastener, and wire with special appearance to complete the supercar design.

For those who liked the traditional Corvette cues more, Chevy continues to keep them lined up for the 2020 model year.

Source for the Superpower

The 2020 edition of Chevrolet Corvette can be run with a single engine and transmission, as it is that LT2 6.2-liter V-8 one that is strengthened with a new aluminum block. This new engine is a workhorse that can throw 495 of ponies and 470 pound-feet of torque. If you choose to drive your Corvette with the Z51 package the numbers however come down to 490 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque and that can be had even in its base form.

This power combination makes the 2020 Corvette speed up from a 0 to 60 mph in as quick as 2.9 seconds when supported by the Z51 package, making the model stand ahead of its rivals in terms of performance score.

Driving Dynamics

The staff  of the Chevrolet dealer serving Humble explained that the Z51 Performance Package that pushes the 2020 Corvette does so with the help of a performance-tuned suspension that is threaded with the spring seats in order to make them adjust with the coil-over dampers. To attain the supercar performance, Muscle car – Chevrolet Car installs bigger brakes, an additional cooling system, and a unique axle ratio. The contribution of the front brake cooling inlets, along with the performance oriented exhaust can’t be undermined. But foe an even crazier performance, one can tick on the option to drive their Corvette model with Magnetic Selective Ride Control dampers.
